Frequently asked questions
01 How do I paste this into Gmail? +
Click "Copy signature", open Gmail settings, scroll to the Signature section, create a new signature and paste into the editor with Ctrl + V or ⌘ + V. Remember to scroll to the bottom and click Save changes.
02 Why is the signature built with tables? +
Because email clients are not browsers. Outlook on Windows renders HTML with the Word engine, and both Gmail and Outlook strip style blocks from the top of a document. Tables with styles written into each tag are the only thing that renders consistently everywhere — flexbox and grid break.
03 Why does the avatar have to be a public URL? +
Gmail and Outlook both block images embedded directly in the markup. The picture has to live at a public internet address — your own company website works well — for recipients to see it.
04 What belongs in a signature? +
Your name, role, company and one direct way to reach you. Skip the oversized logo, the slogan, the row of social icons and the line about not printing the email: they bloat every reply in a thread and look cluttered on a phone.
05 Is what I type sent anywhere? +
No. The signature is assembled by JavaScript inside your tab. This page is static HTML with no form that submits anything.
